"Current Development of Green IPPs: Experiences, Challenges, and Strategies"

15 - 16 September 2005, Karlsruhe (Germany)

The regional workshop in Germany will take place on the 15th-16th of September in Karlsruhe, Germany. This workshop will provide a platform for discussion and knowledge sharing for strategic players involved in European and Asian energy markets. Like the previous workshop organized in Thailand on the 10th of August 2005, this workshop will more particularly focus on Asian and European energy systems and policies related to renewable energies.

This workshop targets Asian and European policy makers, members from the research community, project developers, and other relevant public/private stakeholders, who are interested in sustainable energy supply structures as well as in EU-Asia investment opportunities in the field of renewable energy.

Topics to be discussed will cover three aspects:

• Policy Instruments and Regulations
• Renewable Energy Technologies and Resources
• Project Structures and Financing Approaches
